Where are you from?
I’m from Gothenburg, on the west coast of Sweden. Growing up here has shaped me both personally and creatively. My goal as an artist is to create a “west coast sound” in Sweden — something that hasn’t really been done before.
Who are your biggest artistic influences?
My influences mainly come from the American west coast. Artists like Dom Kennedy, Larry June, and Nipsey Hussle shaped my perspective on music, hustle, and independence. Curren$y from New Orleans is also a big inspiration for me. From them, I learned that music is not only about creating but also about ownership, authenticity, and understanding the culture and business behind the art.
Tell me about how your creation part begins, and how is your workflow.
My process usually begins with a feeling. It can come from something I’m going through personally, a situation around me, or even another song that sparks an idea. From there, I build the music around that emotion. I aim to reflect my own experiences but also make them relatable to others. Some of my songs touch on difficult topics like depression and hardship, because I believe those are conversations that need to happen. My workflow is about honesty and consistency — I create regularly and stay disciplined with how I develop projects.
Where do you find inspiration?
Inspiration comes from many places: emotions, conversations, situations, or even just the energy of a moment. For this latest work, I wanted to capture my own feelings while also speaking about things people are often afraid to talk about. My goal is always to make music that resonates on a personal level with listeners.
When is your favorite time of day to create your music?
I like working in the mornings when my mind is clear, but nighttime is when I feel the most creative. There’s a certain freedom at night when everything is quiet, and that’s when some of my best ideas come to life.
Describe how art is essential to society nowadays.
Art is vital today because it brings back authenticity. In the rap scene, too much focus has been placed on crime and negativity, and people have forgotten what it means to truly express yourself. I see art as a way to reflect, to connect, and to speak for people who feel unheard — whether it’s students, people working 9-to-5 jobs, or anyone going through something. Art is about expression and representation, and that’s what I want to contribute to.
What motivates you to create?
I’m motivated by the need to express myself honestly and by the challenge of pushing Swedish hip-hop into new directions. I want to give listeners something they can relate to, but I also want to bring a new level of artistry that hasn’t been shown here yet.
How do you define success as a music artist?
Success for me is about building a genuine, loyal fanbase. It’s not about numbers alone, but about having people who truly connect with and support your music. Another part of success is being able to fully execute your vision as an artist. That’s difficult, but it’s what separates true artistry from just making songs.
Does art help you in other areas of your life?
Absolutely. Without art, I wouldn’t be who I am today. Music has given me direction, but it also connects with my passion for fashion and creativity. I’m always working on developing my own brand and clothing line, and art drives all of that.
How do you develop your art skills?
I learn by listening to a wide range of music. Besides hip-hop, I listen to jazz, Afrobeats, and other genres, always paying attention to details like rhythm, melody, and delivery. I also make sure to stay consistent with creating — I aim to put out one to two projects every month, which keeps me evolving and improving.
What is your next move?
I’m building a music venue that includes a fully equipped studio and kitchen. It’s more than just a space — it’s a place where I and other artists can create, experiment, and grow. At the same time, I’ll continue releasing music consistently and expanding my brand.
Where will we see you in 5 years?
In five years, I see myself as an established artist with a strong and authentic fanbase. But beyond that, I want to be someone who opens doors for other artists in Sweden. I believe this country has so much talent, but many artists don’t take the bigger steps. I know I’m the one who can show that path forward and lead a movement.
