A Voice Led by Spirit: The Journey of a Modern Worship Artist

In a world where identities blend and cultures intertwine, few artists carry a story as uniquely layered as hers. Raised in Denmark but shaped by Ugandan warmth and Congolese community, she grew up submerged in a vibrant mix of sounds, cultures, and spiritual influences. Today, she stands as a rising worship artist whose music flows not from industry formulas, but from divine inspiration, heartfelt emotion, and a deeply personal relationship with Jesus.

Her creative process begins before the first note is even sung—a whisper in her heart, a concept sparked by truth-filled emotions, or a spiritual nudge that becomes the foundation of a new song. Driven by a passion to spread love, hope, and purpose, her music aims to bring light to dark places and remind listeners that they are wonderfully made.

In this interview, she opens up about her artistic influences, the spiritual roots behind her creativity, her shift from mainstream stages to gospel music, and the dreams she carries for the future. With authenticity and bold faith, she offers a look into what motivates her, how she defines success, and where she sees herself in the years ahead.

Where are you from?
I live in Denmark and grew up here all my life, but I lived with my mom’s best friend from Uganda and had only Congolese friends, so my culture is very mixed.

Who are your biggest artistic influences?
I would say it’s Sunmisola Agbebi because of her breathtaking voice and the way she can change the atmosphere.

Tell me about how your creation part begins, and how is your workflow.
I start by getting an idea—either a voice sings in my heart or a concept comes. I get my producer to make a custom beat according to my idea, and then the song comes to life.

Where do you find inspiration?
Truth in feelings—things we go through that can’t be explained just through words. Feelings that need melodies and notes to enter our hearts and bring a special spiritual feeling and sometimes release.

When is your favorite time of day to create your music?
It is probably the later hours, but sometimes when I can’t wait—if I have an idea burning in me—I jump out of bed and start singing.

Describe how art is essential to society nowadays.
Art is a way of escaping the “you have to be like that and think like this and be distracted.” Art is humans' way of mimicking God—He created us in love and joy, and we as humans in His likeness also love to express and be creative. It’s essential for humans to bring our emotions to life, to explore, to find peace, and to connect to our feelings.

What motivates you to create?
I want truth to be spread. I want people to know that we are here on earth for a purpose and in love. I am proud to represent Jesus in a way that brings relationship with Him—not religion or rules, but love and peace. I want people to know they are loved and wonderfully made, that there is a new day tomorrow. If it’s hard, it’s just a season, and if it’s not good, He’s not done yet.

How do you define success as a music artist?
I define success as being a light for people—even just one person. I don’t chase fame or money. My love for music is so deep it keeps me up at night. If another person likes my music, I am thankful. I already see success in my songs, and in knowing I made my Heavenly Father proud and have His support. I have faith I will bring happiness and peace to many more in the future.

Does art help you in other areas of your life?
Yes, it helps me share my testimonies and feelings. It gives me meaningful days, and it helps me help others.

How do you develop your art skills?
Through my gift of the Holy Spirit that keeps developing, leading, and teaching me—and also by practicing and training.

What is your next move?
I started as a worldly singer and warmed up the stage for many known artists. I stopped everything when I found my faith in Christ. I uploaded my first gospel song in 2023, and I didn’t continue again until this year in April. Now I plan to release more music, sing more in my church and at events, travel to perform and lead worship and praise, make music videos, and do everything as big and as best as I can for Him.

Where will we see you in 5 years?
I see myself with my husband, supporting each other. I see myself as a worship and praise leader and minister, traveling for different things. I see myself as a role model for young women and men—helping them be boldly proud of Christ, pulling them away from depression, drugs, and meaningless living, and bringing them into relationship with Jesus. I want to help them find their identity, explore their talents and gifts, and help others with love.
